We are breaking protocol with this end-of-year post. You won’t see a list of this year’s sales. I am offering zero real estate predictions for 2025. As for resolutions? Cue eye roll.
Instead, I offer you a 3-minute vlog that I hope may ignite your spirit of adventure. I’ve learned that anything worth having comes with risk. A dear friend of ours, upon learning that my now husband and I were planning to marry, gave us his blessing with these words: “Go have some adventure.”
My daughter wanted to visit Iceland for her first international trip. Not in the summer, or in the fall, but in the winter. So we threw caution to the wind and booked our flights, taking off from Dulles International Airport just two days after Christmas.
I am typing this from our hotel room in downtown Reykjavík just hours before the city will erupt in its traditionally raucous — yet beautiful — New Year’s celebrations. I’m not sure when we will sleep as we are catching an early morning flight to our next destination.
“Þetta Reddast!” as Icelanders would say (Translation: “It will fix itself.”)
More reason to Go have some adventure.
